been trying to come up with movies that defy the norms :-) and its slim pickins:

planet of the apes

a.i

total recall (i know... was getting desperate... at least everything aint blue or grey. its all red :-D)

help me out folks.

Bladerunner i think defies some norms, but not all. It surely rains a lot there.

hey... the rain and comet was not a standard norm... it was something suggested by a poor misguided soul... most of the comet movies are not set in the future ;-)

I like Total Recall. The technology used in the movie is not very good, but the plot was _very interesting. (But as they say, I cannot find fault with any given movie.. )

And what about 12 monkeys, everything in the future looks pretty funny and creepy there.
